Water sample fees: bacteria, nitrate or arsenic= $40 homeowner’s package (all three)= $110
Results for bacteria are reported out after 24 hours arsenic and nitrate reported out within 60 days

Florence County Health Department’s certified water lab offers arsenic and nitrate testing to residents! FCHD continues to analyze bacteria testing, too. Call ahead to pick up and drop off bottles 715-528-4837. FCHD staff can come to your resident and collect the sample for an additional $15 fee.

Bacteria (total coliform/E.coli): $40

Arsenic: $40

Nitrate: $40

Homeowners package (bacteria, arsenic, nitrate): $110

To report a blue-green algae bloom in Wisconsin waters, contact Wisconsin DNR staff at DNRHABS@wisconsin.gov. Please include the location of the bloom, the name of the water body, nearest town, county, the size and duration of the bloom, and overall and close-up photographs for verification. The DNR is unable to test all reported blooms.
